PSHE Assocation Quality Assured Resource Logo

FPA is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the PSHE Quality Mark for best-selling RSE educational programme, Growing up with Yasmine and Tom.

The quality mark was awarded in March 2020, after meeting the ten principles of effective PSHE education required to be a recommended resource [1]. The PSHE Association’s Quality Mark process considers all resources against ten principles of best practice in PSHE education and other research into effective teaching and learning in the subject including (but not limited to); provision of a safe and supportive learning environment for all learners, presenting information in a positive and learner-friendly way, using ‘active’ teaching and learning techniques to engage pupils and to develop their understanding, knowledge and skills and provide information that is up-to-date, realistic and relevant to pupils’ lives.

Natika H Halil, Executive Director, FPA the sexual health company said:

“To have a resource that has already gained so much positive feedback throughout its development and then to celebrate its excellence with the prestigious PSHE Accreditation, gives us even more confidence that version 2 is exactly what teachers need right now.”

The PSHE Association is the national body for Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) education, leading the effort to ensure that every pupil receives high-quality provision. For Growing up with Yasmine and Tom to satisfy the ten principles of effective PSHE education demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest quality resources for teachers and their pupils.

“Our Quality Mark is awarded to resources that meet our ten principles of effective PSHE education. Resources are rigorously assessed by one of our subject leads and if successful recommended to our community of PSHE education professionals. Our remit is to support teachers in delivering the highest quality PSHE education to their pupils, which is why we only recommend resources that have gained the Quality Mark.”
