GP and Founder of You Before Two
I am delighted to be an Ambassador of the FPA. I have used many of their resources such as the contraceptive display kit, beer goggles and wonderful posters and leaflets over the years in my work as a GP and in schools and more latterly within my workshops for You Before Two, a charity I founded in March 2019.
I passionately believe that the decisions we make in relationships and sex can impact dramatically all other parts of our lives. The stakes are high and there is no greater protector against mistakes than a solid RSE education. As parents, we can only be around so much, especially as our children reach their older teen years and beyond. The workshops I devise aim to empower young men and women to consider themselves (the ‘you’) before entering into any serious relationship or having a baby (the ‘two’).
Our buzz words, emblazoned on our bracelets and hearts are ‘choice’, ‘consent’ and ‘confidence.’ It is the right of every young person to understand what these three words truly mean.
